Superman 2 - The Richard Donner Cut

Watched this the other night, and it's a great movie! (And if you want to know why there is a "new" cut, go on the internet and find out, dammit!)
It is so much more of a professional movie than the rather slapstick original version (which I am going to re-watch soon), but unfortunately still has a few flaws that stop it from being perfect.

I'll spoil the ending here, so if you don't want to know, sod off now!

OK, Superman turns back time again to fix all the damage done by Zod & Co and erase Lois' memory of them having a bonk. Why o why o why??? They got rid of all the silly extra things like Superman being able to throw a giant plastic S-shield and splitting into three, but they kept this?? Duh. And since he turned back time, it makes no sense for him to go back to the diner to beat up the nasty truckie!!
The inner nerd is not fully satisfied!
