Doctor Who?

I was going to Forbidden Planet on my weekly comic run last Friday, and while coming out of Leceister Square tube, I walked past Colin Baker, the worst Doctor Who ever. Not really much of a "I met a celebrity" story, but it gives me something to blog about. I also saw the woman who played "Ace" (one of the Doctor's female companions from the 80's) at a convention once. That's not much of a story either. How about almost walking into Patrick Stewart while coming out of Forbidden Planet a few years ago? No? Oh well.

Few other things:

1. There was a documentray on city foxes the other night, and apparently foxes scream at night because that is when they root and during this coupling they lock in position, which is obviously rather uncomfortable for the vixen.

2. Saw the film 300 at the iMax on Thursday. I thought it was pretty good, visually interesting and had some great battle sequences. I wasn't sure what to expect, as it seems to be one of those films that divides peoples opinions. This was definitely a film that you need to see and not take seriously. The women sitting next to us got very excited seeing all the muscley men in their leather undies...

Surreal foxes get married in the sun

Haven't posted in yonks, but things have been a bit busy. Here's a quick rundown of things that have happened in the last few weeks:

1. My bro got married. (Again!) Went up to Lancaster for the wedding, saw lots of family, ate a lot of food and had a good time. My bro and I did a road trip down to Winchester a few days later, but no female swedish hitchhikers or crazed serial killers to pick up, only my Bro running into the bushes by the side of the road for a wee.

2. Parents are in UK too, and I went out with my mum to an exhibition at the V&A museum of surreal artists ( http://www.vam.ac.uk/vastatic/microsites/1558_surrealthings/ ). I think surreal is just the arty farty way of saying bloody weird!

3. Saw the film Sunshine yesterday. It was a bit weird, because yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far, and yet my bro, his friend and I decided to sit inside a dark air conditioned cinema watching a film about the sun. Anyway, it was a very good film, but don't try and think too much about the logic/science of the film afterwards, just enjoy it for what it is. P.S. I don't ever want to go into space.

4. Last night about 11pm, the foxes that live on the oval opposite our flat decided to have a screaming compeition. I now know why the Lord Snooty's of the countryside want to shoot those damn things, they are so annoying! I don't know what on earth they are doing, either biting each other, buggering each other with barbed penis', giving birth to elephants or experimenting with fox bondage or all of the above at once, but I'm tempted to take up the position of Norwood Fox Strangler if they continue to disturb my much needed beauty sleep!

Back to work tomorrow - ugh.
